I think I might be pregnant – what should I do?
It's important to know for sure if you are pregnant. We offer free pregnancy testing with immediate results. Our trained
advisors will be there to help you to cope with the result whether positive or negative.
How much will a pregnancy test cost me?
All of our services are free, including pregnancy testing. You will receive the result immediately.
Do I have to be over a certain age to use Choices?
We have no age limit – anyone is welcome.
Can I bring someone with me?
It is often helpful to have someone with you for support. We are happy to welcome partners, friends etc. if you feel
that will help you.
Do I have to tell you all my personal details?
No. We are committed to giving a free, impartial service irrespective of how much information you choose to give us.
Will you follow up my visit to the centre?
No. We will not contact you without your permission. However you are free to contact us as often as you need to.
Are you a medical centre?
We are not a medical centre, nor are we qualified to give medical advice. If medical advice is requested we will
recommend you consult your GP or NHS Walk-in Centre.
Do you refer for terminations?
We are not able to refer directly for terminations. We offer clients information on all the options and are well
resourced to provide both immediate or long term support as necessary, directing to other agencies as appropriate.
Can I have an out of hours appointment?
We are completely flexible and will endeavour to make an appointment to see you at a time convenient to you.
